Liberty Te Koea

Computer Angel is an experimental 2D animation exploring the implementation of traditional animation methodologies into digital mediums. The film explores themes of evolution, belief and obsolescence through technology and how humanity shapes its own faith through creation and convenience. Experimentation with traditional animation and conceptual methods, matte painting, frame by frame animation and digital texture tools to bring to life a creature of faith and devotion. This research culminated into an experience of textures and colours that bring into question what we choose to put our faith into and why.
