Concept Design
"Creatures of the Windsong" is a game concept exploration for nintendo 3DS, using a research-heavy approach to concept design, using Anthropology frameworks. Narrative is the core of both concept design itself, and core to how humans understand themselves. Anthropology studies this, and approaches narrative through lived experience and diversity.

This research proves an intersection of anthropology and concept design by using anthropology frameworks to encourage audiences to reflect upon, and sit with, uncertainty. This intersects multiple areas of significance to human narrative: paranormal, animals, nature, animism, ambiguity. Each area is framed through anthropology and then woven through the design work. The project does not intend to provide answers, but rather to serve as a medium of exploration for the individual, so we may answer our questions of unrest on our own terms.

"Creatures of the Windsong" is a paranormal RPG creature collector. This research utilizes creature collector & paranormal genres to intertwine themes of unrest in an experience that gives us and our own lives narratives the agency to exist.
