My collection ‘Surreptitious Violets’ explores how queer women have created a unique masculinity of their own, separate from heteronormative ideals. I have taken inspiration from historical queer women’s dress, taking reference of the details, and creating well tailored garments that blend historical dress with modern aesthetics. These garments showcase how we now use masculine identities to express ourselves, rather than hide away.
