My collection examines self-surveillance and objectification in the digital age, challenging the modern day panopticon. Through metaphors of eyes (truth, power, and surveillance) and roots (resistance, survival, and collective strength), I explore how systemic forces limit autonomy, especially for women and marginalised groups. Drawing inspiration from Bentham’s panopticon, Ai Weiwei, and Sophie Calle, the work reflects on how awareness, visibility, and solidarity are key to reclaiming agency in a world under surveillance.
