“Oralcon 30 ED” is a project that examines my relationship with hormonal contraceptives as a way to manage pain from endometriosis.
“To be taken daily” is a series of 65 drawings, increasing in sets of 28, that count the hormonal contraceptives I have taken since I was fourteen. Each number represents a pill I have taken, each page stands for a new packet, and every three pages indicates another doctor's appointment. Through repetition and duration, this work turns the clinical language of medication into a visual record of endurance. It looks at the pill as both a management tool and a way to stay silent, reflecting on how medical systems often prioritize control over care. The drawings depict the body as data within a system, regulated and prescribed.
