Eva Chaplin

Letters to Her explores memory as a living, shifting narrative. Through painting, I reinterpret old photographs, carrying fragments of the past into the present. I am drawn to my mother’s life and relationships, using images of this to reflect on femininity, care, and shared experience. By moving between photography and painting, I examine how each medium transforms the other, and how memories evolve, endure, and gain new meaning through the act of remembering.
