My work captures the overwhelming beauty of 18th century French aristocracy, investigating their world of extravagant spending and frivolous actions. These high-classed figures with their whimsical and naïve lifestyles created a historical age worth admiring and critiquing. Within these works, floral, fashion and bodily forms intertwine with personal childhood memories to reimagine this era, with an ingrained appreciation for lush colour, gentle flowing compositions and a stillness in life.
