This work is a contribution to the collection of family records resulting from the extensive preservation efforts of my predecessors. These paintings interpret and reinvent their stories—of both facts and imaginings—weaving them into familial legend spanning generations, countries, and cultures. My intentions are to foster connection and bridge generational cultural distance, to encourage appreciation and care for our foundations, and to value our many voices.
