Priya’s sculptural works explore the defunct objects that we retain due to their intangible ties to people, place and experience - do these objects weigh us down, or are they a tool for grounding ourselves in a fast-flowing contemporary world? “i wear my heart around my neck” investigates the potential for these objects to be re-activated by adorning the body with their likenesses in fragile paper and graphite jewellery form.
