This project aims to teach young people better recycling habits through an interactive, gamified bin. This bin design separates lids from other recyclables and converts them into game pieces for sorting purposes. The separated lids have the opportunity to be repurposed, either supplied to school technology departments or recycled through plastic companies such as foodstuffs and PACT recycling. This reward system motivates students to recycle correctly while addressing the practical challenge of lid and cap disposal and recycling contamination.
