Industrial Design
My project was a tent design investigation into helping the needs of a bike packer, I am interested in this topic as I want to get into it myself as a hobbie. I made a bike packing tent that uses the bike frame as integral part of the tent structure. I took all of the qualities that I have learnt over the past 4 years here at Massey University such as Primary and Secondary research, 3D CAD modelling, Laser cutting, Sketch iterations, 3D modelling, metal work, sowing and panel making to produce this project. I found it very interesting in learning how to pattern make full scale tent prototypes which became quite a challenge. This project has inspired me into designing for the outdoors and to become an industrial designer in this field.
