The project responds to the need to re-indigenise spaces in Aotearoa by creating the world’s first 3D-printed korowai—a contemporary artwork and symbol of decolonisation. Developed through Māori methodologies such as Noho, Wānanga, and Whakapapa, it will weave cultural identity, education, and design into one kaupapa. Exhibited across Te Whanganui-a-Tara, the korowai will honour Te Ao Māori and inspire dialogue on inclusivity, heritage, and strength. The x2 framed 3D printed Korowai will be blessed and gifted respectively to the WCC Miramar and Newtown libraries for hanging.
