‘Te Atua Tarewa’ shifts our perceptions of Atua by showcasing them not as human forms, rather, how Atua have existed through us, and are woven into all fabrics of whakapapa. Highlighting the metaphysical connections between Atua and the natural world, revealing how te ira atua is embedded in Te Taiao, te ira tangata and te whare tangata.
These portraiture images include abstract forms that evoke the āhua of Atua across specific domains, visualizing the unseen through the power of light and weaving Te Ao Mārama with Te Kore.
