‘Chew the fat’ is a photographic series based on my personal struggles with dissociation as a form of escapism. I constructed and photographed three large scale tableaux scenes which are visual articulations of my personal experiences that sit in between the space of reality and the subconscious. These photographs invite audience members to become immersed in my internal world, allowing room for others to relate and connect to my uncomfortability through their own.
