Tidemark & Co. reimagines Evans Bay Marina's car park as a community-focused space, fostering connection between people and coastal whenua through intentional design and cultivating belonging.
The Grove is a sheltered sanctuary where permeable facades and abundant planting invite sensory connection with the whenua—feeling breezes, hearing leaves—before transitioning into the garden beyond.
Te Pae Tai traces Te Awa a Taia's original and risen shorelines through concrete seating and water channels, while community planter boxes invite locals to nurture their coastal whenua.

Tidemark & Co. reimagines the existing concrete car park within Evans Bay Marina Precinct as a community-focused space that responds to the surrounding coastal landscape and local residents. Through Intentional material choices and a carefully considered spatial program, the design fosters connection between the people and the Whenua. Through an establishment of character and Identity, Tidemark & Co cultivates a sense of belonging, which Crafts an intimate relationship between the community and their coastal whenua.
