Spatial Design
Crafting Comfort explores how self-expression and agency can be facilitated within low-level residential care. Adaptive reuse and spatial planning strategies allow for communal spaces to be transformed, enabling programmatic flexibility and creative agency. The work specifically explores how three fibre-based projects could allow residents to personalise their spaces at varied skill levels, recontextualising craft as a place-making tool that is accessible; regardless of experience, age, ability, or gender.
