Te Awa Reimagined is an environmental restoration and long-term landscaping project that envisions the renewal of Te Awa Kairangi / the Hutt River. This project honours Te Awa Kairangi’s complex ecologies, histories, and cultural significance by supporting its future as a shared public space. The design integrates native flood-resilient planting, ecological corridors, and natural filtration zones to create a cleaner, safer, and more resilient river environment for future generations.
