Spatial Design
This project explores my developing understanding of the relationship between identity and materiality. Conducting Bodies responds to aluminium casting as a relational process, critiquing use and meaning’s adherence to binary positioning. Mutual exclusivity is disrupted as making processes shift between opposing states; solid and liquid, private and public, creator and consumer, metaphorical and literal. This practice recognises how these contradictions can equally morph, and construct form.
