Amaranthus is a collection for the quiet queer and the demure gay man. It aims to express gay pride without flamboyance and love without excess. Heteronormative symbols are reshaped into three patterns that tell a story of self-discovery, romance, and devotion. Amaranthus follows a long history of coded dress in the gay community, but it is not a retreat into the closet; it is a debut.
