Textile Design
Throughout this project, I’ve explored my Pākehā heritage and connection to Aotearoa by uncovering the stories and knowledge held within my ancestral textiles. Using techniques such as crochet, embroidery, and weaving, I’ve reimagined them through digital processes to reflect on the passage of textile knowledge through my Irish and Scottish heritage. This collection layers traditional practices with innovation, acting as a contemporary record of my family and our continued connection to Aotearoa.
