My collection ‘The Betwixt and Between’ aims to advocate for seaweed conservation and regeneration through screen printed textile design. I was interested in the role seaweed plays in Wellington’s marine ecosystem. Through primary research and drawings, I designed a collection using layering to accentuate the busyness of this underwater world. My final collection aims to educate people on the importance of seaweed and why it needs to be protected.
