Textile Design
Intertwined celebrates connections between people and place. Inspired by communal craft traditions, I gathered friends and family to create strings with fallen Tī Kōuka leaves. Tī Kōuka are native to Aotearoa and have also laid down roots in the lands of my Celtic ancestors. Each contributing tree, leaf, string, and hand is unique — tied together into a large net, accompanied by my personal explorations in net-making, knotting, and fibre processing.
