The website provides a place for our readers to find the magazine and submit work as well as feel connected and have their voices heard.
Messy magazine is for teenage girls aimed 13-17, and includes plenty of positive role models and messaging.
Activities such as these compliment flowers prompt appreciation for the important people in teenagers' lives.
There is a big emphasis on sustainable self love, moving away from performative affirmations and focusing more on enjoying life and encouraging positivity.

Visual Communication Design
We created Messy magazine to address the ongoing issues of teenage girls feeling an overwhelming amount of pressure from social media to look a certain way and portray femininity in a very restrictive manner. Messy is everything we wished we had when we were fourteen: fresh views of femininity, activities centred around self love and positive role models, all focused on encouraging a general appreciation and enjoyment of life.
